This morning we spent a few minutes taking photos of our garden on the roof.
It’s been a very cold spring but things are starting to grow up there!
We have eggplant. Someone wondered if anyone likes eggplant?
This is a new knock-out rosebush that we just planted after loosing last year’s to the rough winter.
Peggy says “I like that rose!”
A few sunflowers grew from last year’s plants…
and the sweet peas and beans are coming along nicely.
We have lots of chamomile this year. The flowers were closed because it was raining.
The gang in room one planted four deck railing containers with geraniums, spike and vinca vine.
The lovage is blooming.
We grew cucumber plants from small seeds.
Barbara says that “the sweet potatoes are beautiful!”
Onions, also grown from seed, are settling in.
The tomatoes are growing very slowly.
Tomatoes like hot weather and it’s been cold.
The asiatic lilies are almost blooming!
We’ve had good luck with the zucchini so far.
Zach planted these petunias and a little bit of coreopsis that came back from last year.
Soon this planter will be full of blooms!
and the gladiolas will be blooming too!
There’s lots more to come! Our gardeners are busy here at Bass River, Inc!
